- 1 kg meat of choice
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 onions, chopped
- 4 potatoes, cubed
- Seasoning of choice
- Root and non-root vegetables of choice
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1 large fresh tomato grated
- 1 tablespoon garlic and ginger paste
- 1 can chopped tomatoes
- Salt
How you make it
Braise onions with cumin, coriander, chilli powder, garlic and ginger in oil
Add meat and braise for 15 minutes
Add potatoes and root vegetables and cook for 10 minutes
Add non-root vegetables, salt and seasoning and boil for 10 minutes
Place in smart cooker for 2+ hours.
Wrap the pot tightly and remember to fasten the lid. Avoid opening the smart cooker until at least 2 hours have passed, though you can safely leave it for longer if needed. Keep away the smart cooker from children!
Meat becomes more tender the longer it is kept in the smart cooker.
