- 1 packet split peas
- Vegetables of choice
- 2 litres of water
- Seasoning of choice
- Soup bones, meat or chicken
- Celery
How you make it
Rinse the split peas and boil for 15 minutes on your stove, then blend in a blender
Add back to pot with vegetables, meat bones or braised meat
Bring to boil for 30 minutes
Place in smart cooker for 3-4 hours
Wrap the pot tightly and remember to fasten the lid. Avoid opening the smart cooker until at least 3 hours have passed, though you can safely leave it for longer if needed. Keep away the smart cooker from children!
Remove whole vegetables and liquidise or mash
Add chopped celery and bring to boil. Store in the smart cooker until serving time.
