Bottle Tap - private version
This is a cool and free way to wash your hands. You can install it inside or outside your home. It’s also quite a lot of fun for kids.

What you need
- a plastic bottle or container
- a (hot) nail
- something to attach the bottle to a pole (like a rope)
- optional: a bowl to catch the water
How you make it
Heat your nail
Use a fire or a lighter. Attach the nail to a piece of wood to make sure that you do not burn yourself.
Make a hole in the bottom part of the bottle
How you use it
Fill the bottle with water
You can also put a little bit of soap in here.
Attach the bottle to a pole
or where you need your hand washing facility
Open the lid of the bottle
The water starts flowing and you can wash your hands
Close the lid again and the water flow will stop
Notes
Be aware to only use it within your household. When many people touch the lid, it’s not hygenic anymore. For more people, have a look at the handwashing stations on dooiy.
