Simple Pallet bed

This bed is comfy and easy to make. As the legs are pretty high, there is a lot of storage space under the bed.
The bed was built by Robin Williams from the Vrygrond community in Cape Town. Thanks so much for sharing!
What you need
- 1,5 Large Pallets use more if your pallets are smaller. Pallets have to be from the same kind and format.
- Wood Scraps to join the pallets
- 3-inch Nails
- Hammer
- old recycled table legs
- Sandpaper to create a smooth surface
- Saw in case you have to cut the pallet
How you make it
Lay out the pallets
In case the length does not correspond to the desired format, shorten one of the pallets with a saw.
Join the Pallets
Use the wood scraps and the nails to join them on the bottom side of your future bed.
Attach the legs to the pallets
I used old table legs that I found.
Use nails to attach the legs at all four corners.
If you cannot find old table legs in your community, you can also use bricks.
Sand the wood
Sand the wood of your bed for a smooth surface so that you don’t get splinters in your skin.
Put on a mattress and bedding
